Review:

“My name is Celaena Sardothien,” she whispered, “and I will not be afraid.”

When I started to read Assassins Blade, I wasn’t sure what to think about it, however as it progressed more, I started to enjoy it more and more. It’s definitely worth a read for the reasons to see how Celaena was before Throne of Glass and see her relationships with other people. Without saying any spoilers I was super sad to meet some characters just for them to exist for the short time, but even then I’m glad I was able to meet these characters even if it was for a brief time while reading this book.

One thing I hated about this book is falling for a character that we know will die soon. Throughout the entire book I was just waiting for this character to die, it was heartbreaking as he was so amazing and sweet, and to have such an awful death, wasn’t fair. While reading that I just had one thing repeating my mind, that certain someone deserved much more painful death than he got in ToG series.

It started slow, but after first two novellas it picked it up and we finally saw our bellowed Celaena in its true Assassin way. It’s a great book to read while waiting for the fifth instalment of Throne of Glass books, that is unless you just want to re-read the whole series instead.
